Charles Lindbergh's Lockheed Sirius "Tingmissartoq"

In this classic wooden Lockheed Sirius (NR211) Charles Lindbergh and his wife Anne Morrow Lindbergh made several pioneering flights during the first half of the 1930's, surveying air routes through the Arctic. The name "Tingmissartoq" means "One who flies like a big bird". The plane is preserved at the National Air & Space Museum in Washington, DC, where it was photographed by Ben Guenther.
