Hughes 1B Walkaround

In 1935 Howard Hughes set an absolute landplane speed record in his Hughes 1B - more known as the "H-1". It was later modified with longer wings for a 1936 record-breaking coast-to-coast flight. The plane is preserved at the National Air & Space Museum in Washington, DC, where it was photographed by Ben Guenther.
