Amelia Earhart's "Red Bus" Lockheed Vega Walkaround

Amelia Earhart made two historical flights in 1932 in her Lockheed Vega 5B NR7952 - the first solo Atlantic crossing by a woman pilot and the first nonstop solo crossing of the USA from coast to coast by a woman pilot. The plane is preserved at the National Air & Space Museum in Washington, DC, where it was photographed by Ben Guenther. Click the thumbnails to select photos!
