Thank you Anders Bruun!

Since the appearance of the Bent Throttles number 2 in February 1997 Anders Bruun has been the leader of the IPMS Racing & Record Aircraft Special Interest Group. After running the SIG for 15½ years he called it a day.

In all the intervening years he has seen to the publication and distribution of 53 Bent Throttles, filled for a large part with articles from his own hand.  For me and my fellow members receiving the envelope from Sweden was always a joyful moment filled with anticipation of what the new 'BT' would bring.

So hats off to you Anders Bruun! (Or should I say 'Hattar av dig'?)

For his accomplishments in all these years Anders has earned the title 'Honorary Member' of the SIG.

SIG R&R at the IPMS Scale Model World

Dear friends,

2 weeks ago there was the biggest modellers event in the world in Telford UK . The SIG was there (as we are every year). I am very proud to let you know that the group was successful again:
 
We got GOLD for the best SIG display!
 
With the intensive support from the German friend Stefan Schacht (right) and our British friend Bob Lawrence (center) we were able to show a wide range of post war racers in scale 1/32. Bob was additionally successful at the competition, getting silver for his Cobra 1. Furthermore Bob did the display of the 75th Spitfire anniversary! A life for modelling!

I talked to a lot of interested visitors,  maybe some of them will become new members. Some members came along for a talk, like Alex Bigey, but some had been missed this year. Hereby a quick impression, more pictures will be available on new website.
